![]() ![]() Are you SURE it doesn't happen in other DAWs? Please try to test this thoroughly to be sure. Does it happen every time you press the D key?Ģ. In the mean time, I'd like to ask you to do a few more tests and see if you can answer these questions:ġ. I'd recommend you contact M-Audio and see if this is a known issue with the Axiom.īy the way, later this week we'll have access to an Axiom 25, and we'll try to do some testing to see if there's any chance we can reproduce this problem. If Windows doesn't give us a message, that usually points to a driver problem or a controller problem, and since every other key on your controller is working fine, I have to believe it's a controller problem. Meanwhile, your controller keyboard talks to Windows, giving it messages to pass on to the DAW. The way a DAW like Mixcraft works is, it receives MIDI messages from the Windows operating system and stores them in memory. I know that's not what you want to hear, but there's really nothing we can do. There's really no way for me to know why this is happening, though the fact that it only happens with this one key certainly points very strongly to a fault in your keyboard. Since it's just one long note, it's clear that Mixcraft is never receiving a Note Off message for the D key from your keyboard. I really want to buy Mixcraft, it's perfect for my needs apart from this one issue, but there's no way I can use it like this. I've tried all manner of tweaks to the midi settings and double checked all the physical connections etc, I've tried different USB ports, unplugging other usb devices etc.nothing makes any difference. Rightly or wrongly, I can only conclude that it's Mixcraft that's causing the problem here. ![]() I have also tried the keyboard with trial versions of FL Studio and Ableton as well as an old version of Sony Acid, it works with all them without any issues. I have tried it with several vsti's and it's always the same note that does it, the others are all fine. I have discovered that there is one note on the keyboard that always 'sticks', it just continues on right through recording. Sadly, this is past the return window, and while I put in a warranty repair request, I'm unhappy, as I don't think a new keyboard can resolve these problems, as they are design and material choices, not simply a defective one-off.I'm currently using a trial version of Mixcraft and have hooked up an M-Audio Axiom midi keyboard to play VSTI's. Sometimes the caps lock does not work properly, I have to unplug and reconnect the keyboard for it to work properly sometimes. ![]() The key spacing matches a Windows keyboard, not a Mac keyboard, the spacing of the Command and Space relative to the keys on the row above it are the wrong place for a true Mac keyboard, so if you are a touch typist and go between this and a standard Mac keyboard (like I do switching between desktop Mac and MacBook) you find yourself hitting the wrong keys when you do command shortcuts due to the difference in spacing.Ĥ. The paint started coming off some of the keys.ģ. Wrong material for molding keys, the plastic is too brittle.Ģ. Two of the keys came off, and would not stay on due to the fact that one of the brittle plastic clip molded to the key that attaches to the switch broke. That was in July.īy September the poor design and low quality of the keyboard became obvious in four ways:ġ. I had such high hopes for this keyboard, backlighting, DaVinci Resolve keys, perfect for learning the app and color grading in a darkened room, nice key travel. In the event that you need this to serve as a replacement keyboard for another system, all letters, numbers, and symbols can be found just as they would be on a standard keyboard. It also draws power from the USB bus, so no additional power is needed. Logickeyboard built the ASTRA 2 with plug-and-play connectivity, meaning that no additional drivers are required for use. Use the gray connector to power the keyboard and use the black connector for the USB hub. Connectivity with your host system is achieved using a 5.9' cable with two separate USB Type-A connections. Also featured is one USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port, which may be used to connect a mouse, contour shuttle, or a USB dongle. Thanks to five levels of dimmable backlighting, the ASTRA may be used in a variety of lighting conditions, from bright to dark and day to night. Designed for macOS versions of FL Studio, the ASTRA 2 Backlit Keyboard from Logickeyboard features a 108-key US English layout that includes a full-sized F-row and multimedia keys, as well as color-coded and labeled shortcut keys with graphical commands.
